So you have a brilliant idea. Maybe it's a new product. A website. A campaign. A whole new awesome thing that has your heart singing. How do you make it happen? How can you bring it life and make it a success?Getting your idea into the world is one thing, but how can you make sure it gets noticed, shared, sold? How can you know Here are some of my tips.1. Use the Lean Methodology. Evern He explains that the point of a new startup founder is to search for a business model, not just have all the answers right away. You have to ‘get out of the building’ and talk to real people about the problems they have, to validate your ideas. In my whirls of enthusiasm to develop new brands I've sometimes skipped this step with my own business ideas and have ended up making costly changes much later than I should have... if I’d used the lean canvas approach from the start to pivot early, the results would have come much faster!2. Do your Research. If I had a golden dinar for every time someone came to me with an ‘amazing new idea for a [insert website/brand/app/modest fashion label here]’ that I already know exists, I would have enough to buy at least two camels at the souq. The point is, go spend a week googling every possible combination of your idea, in multiple languages and regions, and asking trusted people from different circles if they’ve heard of something similar. If you find something, don’t stress, it helps validate that your idea might be a good one. Just make sure your version of it, is remarkable.3. Work with the Right Team. This is easier said than done. For the bright spark, hotshot entrepreneur it’s tempting to go it alone, but that can be very limiting and isolating. Steve Jobs was no lone wolf, it took thousands of people in his team to get Apple where he wanted it to be. So how do you know who are the right people to help you develop and grow your idea into a global brand? You trust them. They have experience in the right areas. They share your values. They share your passion and excitement about the idea. And if you have the right intention, Allah will always be on your team, Insha'Allah.Do you have a business? How has your idea developed over time after listening to customers? I'd love to hear your stories.
